I have read the Hunger Games Trilogy as well as watched the movies, and am now reading the first book for a second time. I know the premise and violence turns some people off, and initially it did me too. When I finally picked up the book to see what all the buzz was about, I was not disappointed. When I looked past the violence in the arena, and saw the big picture I was fascinated. I started to think what is going to become of our world if we keep going down this path of destruction and war. This post apocalyptic world did not seem so far-fetched. I have become quite a fan of the genre and have read quite a few books on the subject. I believe this book has a lot of literary merit, and there is a lot to discuss. Here is an interview with Suzanne Collins you may find interesting:
